Bondi Beach, arguably the best beach in Australia. What better place to cruise around in your Ford GT40 on a beautiful summer’s day. I spotted this amazing car back in the summer of ’08.
I’m not a Ford expert, but I think this is most likely a replica of the original model, which was built between 1964 and 1969. The car was named the GT (for Grand Touring) with the 40 representing its overall height of 40 inches (1.02 m, measured at the windshield). Large displacement Ford V8 engines (4.2 liter, 4.7 liter and 7 liter) were used, compared with the Ferrari V12 which displaced 3.0 liter or 4.0 liter.
