New Zealand – Christchurch
Sometimes life doesn’t get any better, during my trip to New Zealand every day kept getting better and better as I saw more of this beautiful country. This is a must destination for travellers around the world. I don’t want to sound like a travel agency but this is paradise on earth. Beautiful landscapes, friendly people and great wildlife.
We only travelled to the South Island and were based in Christchurch. We did a few trips from there to Kaikoura, Akaroa and Rangitata Valley, near Erewhon. The Rangitata Valley is where some scenes for Lord of the Rings were filmed. A fully realized set for Edoras was built on Mount Sunday in the valley. That must have been the windiest place I have ever been to, climbing Mount Sunday was a fun struggle.
