The start of the Queen’s Baton journey in London to Delhi for the 2010 Commonwealth Games in India. Her Majesty the Queen Elizabeth II attends the ceremony at Buckingham Palace.
We were hurrying to see the changing of the guard that morning, only to find this set-up for the journey of the Queen’s Baton, which gets carried from London to Delhi, for the start of the 2010 Commonwealth Games.
We caught a short glimpse of the Queen as she arrived in her Bentley State Limousine and as she spoke to the crowd. After that she returned in Buckingham Palace together with the Indian delegation.
