Spotted: Pagani Zonda C12-S Roadster in Sydney

Pagani Zonda C12-S Roadster

It was back in April 2007…

I don’t know why I have waited almost four years to post the photos of the amazing Pagani Zonda on my website, but they have finally made it!

I remember the day I spotted the only Pagani Zonda in Australia very clearly: it was nice and sunny and I was walking towards the train station at the end day. I usually walk past the Sheraton Hotel as there is often something nice parked in the valet area… Maserati’s, Ferrari’s, the occasional Lamborghini or an Aston Martin but as I was getting closer, I could see something quite extraordinary… a small crowd had formed and I could see bright yellow bits and pieces sticking up in the air… Is it? …Could it be?

And yes, there it was, right in front of me, with everything open and up, it looked like Bumble Bee from Transformers, halfway through transforming into a car.

This car is one of the most talked about cars in Australia, arguably together with the Koenigsegg the only two hypercars in the country.

I had seen numerous photos of this particular car and was absolutely stunned to see it parked at the Sheraton Hotel. You can say I have waited a long time for this moment. The only Pagani Zonda one in Australia, on the streets, right in front of me!

With shaky hands, I started taking some photo’s with my trusty little compact camera. The car was getting quite a lot of attention not just from me, but other bystanders were admiring this incredible car. Little kids were posing in front of it for their parents and other car fanatics were drooling over the AMG V12 displayed under the open hood.

I was unfortunately only able to take a few photos of it before it left and then it vanished in Sydney’s traffic pretty quickly. I’m looking forward to the day where our paths will cross again…

This car was also on display at the Australian International Motor Show in 2008, where I took some better shots of it:
