Kung Fu Panda 2
Kung Fu Panda 2 is a 2011 3D American computer-animated action comedy film and the sequel to the 2008 film Kung Fu Panda. The cast of the original film reprised their voice roles.
For the Australian premiere, Jack Black, Lucy Liu, director Jennifer Yuh Nelson and producer & Dreamworks CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg walked the red carpet at Event Cinemas on George Street, Sydney.
Jack Black (also starred in School of Rock, Shallow Hal, King Kong, Nacho Libre and many more) has always been one of my favourite comedy actors and I love his work in Tenacious D as well, so it was great finally seeing him on the red carpet and getting some cool shots of him. Lucy Liu has a well established career as an actress, including the Charlie’s Angle’s films and TV series Ally McBeal and more recently Cashmere Mafia and Dirty Sexy Money.
The stars drew a big crowd but unfortunately Event Cinemas did not accomodate much for everyone there waiting. Jennifer Yuh Nelson, Jeffrey Katzenberg and Lucy Liu were not directed to their waiting fans, which was a bit disappointing but Jack Black made up for it all with his larger than life persona and was amazing to his waiting fans. He even posed like the rockstar he is after our request.
Dreamworks CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg has announced that there will be a total of six films in the Kung Fu Panda series.
Kung Fu Panda 2 is in Australian cinemas 23 June 2011!
