Mercedes-Benz FAB Design SLS AMG Gullstream

Matte Orange FAB Design SLS AMG Gullstream

Of all the supercars I came across in London, this FAB Design SLS AMG Gullstream has to be one of my favourites. The stunning matte colour and the extreme bodykit make it a pretty unique car… Although unique… 200 metres up the road was a white one parked!

The Arabs yearly visit London in the summer and always bring along the latest models of supercars. In this case a stock Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG wasn’t enough, so they chose the most extreme widebody kit for the car and finished it off with one of the brightest colours around, all done in a trendy matte finish. The bodykit is by Swiss cartuner FAB Design, who also tuned the engine  which went from 563hp to 607hp.

The bodykit includes an all new front bumper, fenders, side skirts, rear quarter panels, rear bumper, rear diffuser and a non-functional air scoop on the roof.

The FAB SLS Gullstream takes only 3.6 seconds to hit 100 km/h (compared to 3.8 seconds in the stock SLS) and just 11 seconds to 200 km/h. Topspeed is listed as 325 km/h.

I have to say I don’t think this is one of the prettiest cars I have seen, but no doubt it’s the most extreme car I have come across during my Euro trip. I won’t deny standing around this car for 30 minutes taking photos, pinching myself while looking at the angles, and watching people around me react to the car. If you love non-stop attention when a Lamborghini just doesn’t cut it anymore, this is definitely the right car for you.
