Puss in Boots premiere in Sydney

After a week of rain it was finally time for some sunshine, and it couldn’t have been a better day for the Australian premiere of Puss in Boots at Hoyts Cinema at the Entertainment Quarter (Fox Studios).

Puss in Boots is a spinoff from the hugely succesful Shrek films and follows Puss in Boots on his adventure before his first appearance in Shrek 2 in 2004.

This is by far the best looking and most entertaining red carpet event I have been to. There was a great atmosphere with musicians playing and lots of piñata’s hanging above the mainly yellow carpet. It felt like you were in Mexico with all the amazing props like full size fruit stalls, a palm reader that entertained the guests on the yellow carpet and did I mention all the piñata’s?

The guests:

Special guests of the day were Antonio Banderas who plays Puss in Boots and Salma Hayek, voicing the role of Kitty Softpaws. Also walking the red carpet were Chris Miller (Director) and Jeffrey Katzenberg (CEO of DreamWorks Animation).

Australian guests attending the premiere included Bindi, Robert and Terry Irwin, Napoleon Perdis, Larry Emdur and Felix Dean.

The film:

Long before he even met Shrek, the notorious fighter, lover and outlaw Puss in Boots becomes a hero when he sets off on an adventure with the tough and street smart Kitty Softpaws and the mastermind Humpty Dumpty to save his town. This is the true story of The Cat, The Myth, The Legend…The Boots.

The cast:

Antonio Banderas, Salma Hayek, Zach Galifianakis, Billy Bob Thornton, Amy Sedaris.

Helpful info. Fortunate me I discovered your site unintentionally, and I am stunned why this twist of fate did not happened in advance! I bookmarked it.
