Photo shoot: Ecurie25 – Ferrari, Lamborghini and Maserati

Ecurie25 Photo Shoot in Sydney

This photo shoot was my last job of 2011, and what a great way to finish an amazing year of photography.

The client was écurie25 Supercar Club, Sydney’s new Exclusive Drivers Club:

“M12 is an exclusive drivers’ club offering shared access to a fleet of supercars. With years of expertise in refining the best cars for our loyal members, the club continues to offer its members an unrivalled experience with access to a stable of the finest and fastest cars. In return for an annual membership fee, the club takes care of the cost of depreciation, insurance, servicing and maintenance, leaving members free to enjoy the cars and the club without the inconvenience and costs of ownership.”

The three cars featured are the Ferrari 458 Italia, one of Ferrari’s latest releases, Lamborghini Murciélago LP670-4 SuperVeloce, the top of the range Murciélago and Maserati GranTurismo S. Three amazing Italian exotics which all have their individual qualities.

After spending the first day with the three Italian beauties, I noticed that the Lamborghini is definitely the head turner of the three. Wherever we went, the Lamborghini was getting the most attention, even making the Ferrari and Maserati go slightly unnoticed.

From a photographers point of view, the Ferrari was my favourite car to photograph. The Lamborghini might be getting all the attention but the Ferrari is, in my opinion, the car that deserves the most looks. It has so many quirky angles and features which you don’t notice at first sight. When you take a closer look you’ll see amazing details and great curves which makes you appreciate the engineering quality.

The car which got the least amount of attention from passers-by was the Maserati GranTurismo S, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. I can imagine you don’t always want that much attention when driving around. Inside the Maserati it is very comfortable and at times I forgot I was driving around in a Maserati, not much noise and very smooth on the road, but when you want to, you can make the beast inside come alive and the V8 will roar like an untamed lion.

If I had to choose, I would most likely still go for the Lamborghini, what about you?

Don’t feel like choosing? With an Ecurie12 membership there’s no need to pick one of them, you can drive all three!
