Snow White and The Huntsman premiere in Sydney

Last week a small part of Sydney was transformed into a fairy tale forest when the white carpet was rolled out for the Australian premiere of Snow White and the Huntsman. The event took place at Event Cinemas, Westfield Bondi Junction in Sydney.

Special guests on the night were two of the film’s stars Kristen Stewart (Twilight) and Chris Hemsworth (Thor, The Avengers). Also walking the white carpet was Rupert Sanders, the film’s director.

There were quite a few local guest walking the white carpet tonight as well, including Chris’ brother Luke Hemsworth, The Veronicas, Erin McNaught, Michelle Bridges, Lincoln Younes, Lisa Gormley, ex-yellow wiggle Sam Moran, Kate Ritchie, Tania Zaetta and Supanova Supa-Star Verne Troyer came out as well after a long weekend at Supanova Pop Culture Expo.

The setup at Westfield Bondi Junction was big with the white carpet starting on level 4 going via the escalators to level 6.

The guests:

Kristen Stewart, Chris Hemsworth, Ruperts Sanders, The Veronicas, Verne Troyer, Jeremy Lindsay-Taylor (Heartbreak High, Bikie Wars: Brothers in Arms), Home and Away’s Lincoln Younes, Lisa Gormley, Dan Ewing, Luke Mitchell and Rebecca Breeds, Michelle Bridges, Erin McNaught, Tania Zaetta, Kate Ritchie, Laura Cs0rtan and Sam Moran

The film:

In the epic action-adventure Snow White and the Huntsman, Kristen Stewart plays the only person in the land fairer than the evil queen (Oscar-winner Charlize Theron) who is out to destroy her.  But what the wicked ruler never imagined is that the young woman threatening her reign has been training in the art of war with a huntsman (Chris Hemsworth) who was dispatched to kill her. Sam Claflin (Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides) joins the cast as the prince long enchanted by Snow White’s beauty and power.

The breathtaking new vision of the legendary tale is from Joe Roth, the producer of Alice in Wonderland, producer Sam Mercer (The Sixth Sense) and acclaimed commercial director and state-of-the-art visualist Rupert Sanders.
