The Campaign Australian Premiere

The Campaign Australian Premiere

Last Sunday Sydney’s Entertainment Quarter was turned into an election campaign night for the Australian premiere of Will Ferrell‘s latest film The Campaign.

The man himself walked the red carpet at Hoyts Cinema in front of a big crowd of waiting fans and media, proudly holding a fanmade drawing.

The last time Will made it to Sydney was for the 2009 Land of the Lost premiere when he walked the red carpet at Event Cinemas George St.

The guests:

Will Ferrell and local celebrities Dan Ewing, Marni Little, David Jones Roberts, David Whitehill, Kate Peck, Laura Dundovic, James Kerley, Lisa Curry, Joel Walkenhorst, Maude Garrett, Rae Johnston, Scott Tweedie, Zoe Balbi and Less Hill.

The film:

Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis star as rival North Carolina congressional candidates out to bury each other in this mud-slinging, back-stabbing, home-wrecking comedy from Meet the Fockers director Jay Roach, that takes today’s political circus to the next level. Because even when you think campaign ethics have hit rock bottom, there’s always room to dig a whole lot deeper.

The Campaign also stars Jason Sudeikis, Dylan McDermott and Katherine LaNasa, with John Lithgow, Dan Aykroyd and Brian Cox. Directed by Jay Roach and written by Chris Henchy & Shawn Harwell, from a story by Adam McKay & Chris Henchy & Shawn Harwell, the film was produced by Will Ferrell, Adam McKay, Jay Roach and Zach Galifianakis. Amy Sayres, Jon Poll and Chris Henchy served as executive producers.
