Man of Steel Australian Premiere
You can’t have normal conditions when Superman is in town, Sydney delivered a Supermoon, only fitting for the Australian Premiere of Man of Steel.
Henry Cavill walked the black carpet in Sydney together with Russell Crowe, who plays Jor-El in Man of Steel, and the film’s director Zack Snyder.
Lots of fans braved the bad weather to see the stars walk the red carpet and they were treated with a lot of special guests. Quite of few of the Supanova Supa-Stars walked the red carpet as well, including twins Oliver and James Phelps (Harry Potter’s Weasley twins), Bradley James (Merlin), Clare Kramer (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Bring It On), Eoin Macken (Merlin), Eve Myles (Doctor Who, Torchwood), Kai Owen (Torchwood) and more. It would have been great if Margot Kidder, the original Lois Lane, made it to the premiere as well, but unfortunately she didn’t show up.
A large group of fans were left disappointed as Henry Cavill did not walk the full black carpet but only started halfway. A few fans who travelled from Tasmania and Queensland especially for this event were left empty handed when the Man of Steel never even made it to them. Russell Crowe did go through the effort to greet all the fans at Event Cinemas possibly shouldn’t have bothered with poor attitude.
The local celebs did walk the full black carpet, including Jesinta Campbell in a daring Zhivago dress, Michelle Bridges and Steve Willis, Russell Crowe brought along quite a few Rabbitoh’s rugby players and there were were quite a few guys from the Home and Away cast, including Dan Ewing with Marni Little, Lincoln Younes, Demi Harman, David Jones-Roberts and Charlotte Best. Timomatic took a break from his new gig as a judge on Australia’s Got Talent.
With a red carpet event this size, even the photographers were struggling in the pit with only a small space allocated for a crazy amount of snappers.
