Premiere: The Worlds End in Sydney

Premiere: The World’s End

There was no red carpet in Sydney for The World’s End. Melbourne got it the night before so Sydney had organised a special screening for fans hosted by Simon Pegg, Nick Frost and director Edgar Wright.

I went to the photo call prior to the special screening at Event Cinemas George St to get some photos of the actors. The event sold out in less than 24 hours with over 700 lucky fans given the opportunity to see the stars in their only appearance in Sydney

I missed Simon Pegg the last time he was in town so I was happy to finally get some shots of him. Unfortunately we didn’t get the opportunity for single photos.

The guests:

Simon Pegg (Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, Star Trek Into Darkness), Nick Frost (Paul, Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz) and Edgar Wright (Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, Scott Pilgrim vs the World)

The film:

For Gary King (Simon Pegg) and Andy Knightley (Nick Frost) it was supposed to be the ultimate reunion – one night, five friends, twelve bars. A boozy quest to the ‘Worlds End’ pub on which only the strongest will survive. Having the time of their lives, they’re ready to take on the world.. but tonight they might just have to save it. From the creators of ‘Shaun of the Dead’ and ‘Hot Fuzz’ comes a wildly entertaining thrill ride of outrageous humour and explosive action that will raise a glass to the apocalypse.

The photos:

The World’s End is in cinemas from August 1
